365 days of Victoria Warehouse

Tuesday 20th December 2022

Way back in January we held our Wedding Open Day showcasing the venue to prospecting
couples. Over the year we have hosted 40 weddings from Boho themed, to elegant affairs
and Doctor Who complete with a smoking Tardis.

Manchester City footballer Zak Steffen showed his new clothing collection ‘One Football’ in
the Archives to raise money for VOYCENOW Charity which supports black communities with
mentoring, food and Wi-Fi.

We brought in the likes of GHD for their GHD Underground tour complete with behind-the-
scenes tips and tricks on how to achieve salon-perfect hair in our Archives setting.
We welcomed the Greater Manchester Chamber’s Property and Construction teams for
their first event after Covid; hosting a black-tie Awards and Dinner in the Bays to celebrate
the winners of ‘Building of the Year’ for 2020 and 2021.

We saw the Great British Barber Bash host a competition to find the best barber, and the
well-known pub and restaurant chain Greene King held their ‘Pride of Greene King Awards’
where they celebrated their employees achievements for the first time post-pandemic.
The Cotton Sheds saw a huge boxing event for Boxxer and Sky Sports which was televised
live with a £40,000 cash prize to the winner!

Make Events helped create Auto Traders UK Conference which saw over 800 employees
coming together in the Cotton Sheds.

Car finance company Zuto also took over the Cotton Sheds for their employee #IMPACT22
event. The conference included a Zen Zone with a spa and massages, a park area with trees
and benches, a Gym area, a Zutobucks shop and a huge stage and production.
In-House Recruitment hosted a 1-day exhibition and conference complete with seminars, a
Virtual Reality Zone and speakers from Adidas, Arnold Clark, BBC, Co-op, Selfridges,
Sainsbury’s.

Manchester rapper Aitch stopped by Victoria Warehouse on a double-decker bus to
promote his album ‘Close To Home.’ With fans waiting outside to catch a glimpse of him he
arrived throwing out gifts, chatting and even singing a few songs to the happy onlookers.
Following this, Aitch returned to the O2 Victoria Warehouse in October where he gave an a
memorable performance including his sister Gracie surprising him on stage for his
performance of ‘My G.’

Battle Cancer brought their event back to Victoria Warehouse with charity activations, DJ
sets, workouts and competitions all for an amazing cause.⁣

Towards the end of the year we supported the Three Lions on their World Cup journey with
many excited fans watching the big screens in the Archives and Cotton Sheds. Red Bull
Home Ground also took over the space with their Valorant Tour bringing 1000 gamers for an
action-packed production across the weekend.

December wouldn’t be complete without the myriad Christmas parties across our venue,
transforming our spaces into a magical Winter Wonderland.
Kudos to our incredible team who work across all areas of our events.
