Victoria Warehouse Weddings: Becky and Chris’ dream after party

Monday 20th July 2026

Becky and Chris

Becky and Chris celebrated their wedding at Victoria Warehouse in May 2026 after a self-confessed ‘whirlwind’ engagement. The pair had only viewed one venue, but knew from the get-go that Victoria Warehouse was the one for them.

After tying the knot in church, they spent the evening surrounded by loved ones in The Bays, dancing into the night thanks to our After Party package.

Here, we sit down with the happy couple to discuss what their wedding process was like, why they chose Victoria Warehouse, and what the most important element of their big day was.

Date: Friday 1st May, 2026
Number of guests: 70
Event space: The Bays

Why did you choose to celebrate your wedding at Victoria Warehouse?

We really loved the look of the venue, we were completely hooked just from the website, and it was the only one we actually viewed! We just knew it was the one. It was an excellent space, and we really loved the relaxing vibes of the bar area. It is nothing like we’d ever seen before. We also really loved the train outside, and knew it would make for excellent pictures. The location and the overall look, inside and out, felt so quintessentially Mancunian, we couldn’t picture anything more perfect.

The After Party package was a massive draw for us, to follow on from our church wedding. We appreciated how everything was included, and it let us tick a lot off of our to-do list, given our very fast turnaround!

You brought your wedding together in less than a year – how did you find that process?

Honestly, not terrible! There was 6 months between getting engaged and walking down the aisle, and despite being a whirlwind, it went so well! We were extremely lucky that Victoria Warehouse had a good date available, and that our church and every vendor we loved also had availability. At times, it definitely felt tight, and we wondered why we would willingly do this to ourselves, but actually, having to keep so busy to pull everything together really helped not overanalysing our decisions, as there was simply no time! We’re very DIY and thrifty, and wanted to bring those elements into our wedding, making all of our signage, finding all of our vases (36!) in charity shops and arranging the decorations ourselves, which definitely added to the pressure – even the wedding dress was second hand! It really helped having such supportive friends and family, excellent vendors, and our lovely wedding coordinator Eve, who fielded a million and one questions like a pro.

Did your reception have a theme?

The Bays was definitely just the theme itself. We really wanted to just highlight the natural beauty of the venue, the industrial vibes were such a draw for us.

How was the venue dressed?

So many fairy lights! We had fairy lights dressing the pillars, which were offset so beautifully by the downlights. Every table had candles, and mismatched vases filled with flowers, eucalyptus and fairy lights, and a light sprinkling of confetti. We also included table runners that matched our bridesmaids dresses. The cherry on top were the personalised napkins with a picture of the family dog, Buddy, wishing everyone a “Buddy Great Day!”

What food and drink did you opt for?

We had the street food menu, opting for the Vesuvio pizza and the Chicken Parm pizza, from the Strada menu, because everyone loves pizza! We also had dishes from the Wok & Roll menu, the Crispy Chilli Chicken (or tofu, for our veggie and vegan friends) and the star of the show, the Chinese Black Pepper Beef, which was a massive hit that people still talk to us about! We knew we wanted hot food, but didn’t want the formal setup of a sit down meal, and the street food felt like such a great balance, giving our guests so many options and the ability to go up as much as they wanted. We were invited for a menu tasting, to make sure we were happy with our choices, which was a lovely touch. We were also really impressed by the ability to cater to all dietary requirements, and that the dishes we chose were easily adapted!

What was the most important for you on your big day?

That we had fun! We wanted it to be a night to remember, with as joy as possible, and something that people would talk about for a long time. The After Party package came with beer pong, which everyone really enjoyed, and we also had a Photo Pod with our fabulous DJ, as well as casino tables. No one was ever bored. Everyone had so much fun and we didn’t want the night to end at all.

How did the team help you to make your day special?

Eve, our wedding coordinator, was just amazing. She definitely helped to keep things very smooth sailing on such a tight schedule. When planning a wedding, you’re expected to just know what to do, but Eve and the team at Victoria Warehouse were always so supportive, pointing us in the right direction and never making us feel silly for not knowing things. The menu tasting with Harrison was also a really lovely experience for us, and a lovely pause in the chaos of trying to get everything done. On the day, the team were so lovely and accommodating, checking in with us that things were running smoothly and communicating any changes. The best team to get you through the biggest day of your life, truly.

What did you like the most about Victoria Warehouse?

The space is just phenomenal. You can do as much or as little as you want with it, and the outcome would still be breathtaking. I also very much enjoyed running up and down the corridors in my dress, very dramatic!
