These are the top event trends that aren’t going away anytime soon

Wednesday 17th September 2025

As a longstanding Manchester events venue that’s seen its fair share of conferences, weddings, and celebrations over the years, we’re pretty well-versed in all things events. As such, we’ve developed a keen eye for what’s trending, and we’re always on the lookout for the next big thing to incorporate into our events.

In our latest blog, we’re diving into the trends that are continuing to characterise the events industry – and that won’t be going away anytime soon.

People first

The pandemic saw virtual events skyrocketing in popularity. But in its wake, hybrid has become the new norm, with event planners seeking to combine in-person with the virtual.

While hybrid events continue to be popular, a rise in post-pandemic digital fatigue has meant that strong in-person offerings are an increasingly huge draw for planners and attendees alike.

At Victoria Warehouse, we’re pros at creating memorable on-site experiences with a dynamic energy that sets apart an in-person event from a virtual one.

Wellness is key

Wellness is the word of the moment across all industries, with so many companies working to prioritise the wellbeing of their employees. It’s a trend that isn’t slowing down anytime soon, and one we’re more than happy to cater to.

For your next wellness-focused event, for instance, we can provide you with a fully vegan menu, complete with smoothies and a salad bar. As for additional activities that put mind and body first, you might like to try a yoga or painting session to inject a bit of wellness-focused programming into the day.

Tighter budgets

It’s no secret that times are tough for plenty of businesses, which means that the pursestrings are a little tighter for lots of companies planning events.

Luckily, we make sure that you can get the most out of your budget. Our in-house kit, for instance, has been designed for a plug-and-play setup so there’s no hidden production costs. This means that your spending can be saved for what’s important to you – be it an upgraded lunch or post-conference drinks.

So, while things might be a little tighter, it doesn’t mean having to compromise on the perfect event venue.

Smaller events

Finally, one of the biggest trends we’ve spotted of late – and one that we don’t see dying down anytime soon – is the demand for smaller event spaces.

We’re strong advocates that bigger isn’t always better when it comes to planning an event, with mid-sized spaces lending themselves well to authentic connections between guests, and an often less corporate feel.

From our smallest events space, The Cinema, to our largest space, The Cotton Sheds, Victoria Warehouse is what you make it. If you’re planning an event in Manchester and searching for a conference venue for 50 to 350 people, The Archives, The Cellars, and The Bays are great options to explore.
