Do some Christmas shopping at Manchester’s best small businesses
It’s no secret that the Manchester shopping scene is an impressive one. But did you know that there’s a huge small business community, as well as an impressive high street?
Whether you’re browsing rows upon rows of twinkling stalls selling their wares at the Christmas markets,, or venturing to less festive (but still abundant) corners of Manchester like Afflecks, there’s something for everyone in the city’s independent scene.
Attend the Bauble-icious Bash at Victoria Warehouse
You didn’t think we’d list the best things to do in Manchester at Christmas without talking about our own event, did you?!
If we’re talking Christmas events in the city, then our Bauble-icious Bash is a must-add to your festive calendar.
It’s a ticketed event happening on Friday 12th December, and it includes food and drink, live entertainment, and the ultimate festive vibes. Perfect for the office Christmas do, or friend groups who just can’t agree on the best day for their Christmas get together.
Visit the Christmas markets
Of course, it’s not a guide to Christmas in Manchester without a mention of our beloved markets. They’re running until 22nd December, and they’re bursting with all sorts of festivities – from yorkshire pudding wraps and Christmas bakes to gift ideas and mulled wine.
If you’re in town for an event at Victoria Warehouse, it’s definitely worth pencilling in time to check out the markets.
Cosy up in Manchester’s famed coffee shops
If you’re a fan of a more lowkey festive season, you might like to check out one of Manchester’s many cosy coffee shops.
As well as being a wholesome cosy season activity in themselves, they’re the perfect spot to fuel up on caffeine (or brunch!) before an event at Victoria Warehouse. There are plenty to choose from, but our city centre favourites include: Federal Cafe and Bar, Ezra & Gil, Nomad Coffee, and Fort. Closer to Victoria Warehouse, we’d recommend checking out Cult & Coffee. If you’re after more than a hot drink and a pastry, why not stop by Kargo? It’s a popular food market in Media City that’s only a short walk away from us, with plenty of options guaranteed to satisfy.
