Here at Victoria Warehouse, we’ve always prided ourselves on the varied range of artists and music events we host. The first ever BBC 6 Music Festival selected our iconic warehouse as their venue of choice, and since the venue first opened, we’ve hosted top international DJs and producers including Hardwell, Nicky Romero, Laidback Luke, Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas, and Eddie Halliwell.
Music is only going to get bigger and better at Victoria Warehouse. This year, we’ve started a season of incredible warehouse parties in collaboration with Sankeys. The Sankeys Warehouse launch party was attended by more than 5,000 clubbers and headlined by Basement Jaxx and Armand Van Helden. Sankeys Warehouse will be back on New Years Day for an even bigger party, headlined by dance music tastemaker Fatboy Slim!
Legendary clubbing brand Goodgreef celebrated 15 years of trance and hard house at Victoria Warehouse, we welcomed the massive clubbing brand Don’t Let Daddy Know for their UK tour, and we’re hosting VEVO Halloween again, with an amazing line-up including Wolf Alice, James Bay, Years & Years, Little Simz, and Nothing But Thieves.
On 14th November, post-rock two piece Nordic Giants will be our debut act in The Bays, a brand new multi-functional space in the Victoria Warehouse Hotel. With previous performances described by The Independent as "a grand sweeping cinematic statement of intent”, Nordic Giants will be combining award-winning short films with atmospheric soundscapes , and provide a very different experience in comparison to some of our EDM and house music events. The Bays are perfect for smaller, more intimate gigs, with plenty of potential for acoustic artists.
The biggest techno brand in the world, Awakenings, will be the first act to showcase our new space behind the VIP Mezzanine level in the main events space, with a party that will run from 9pm until 6am. On 6th February, Awakenings will take over Victoria Warehouse with mind-bending production and a line-up featuring top international artists; including German CLR boss Chris Liebing, legendary UK stalwart Dave Clarke, and leading Dutch techno DJ Speedy J. Manchester has a rich heritage when it comes to the techno genre, from the early days of Tribal Gathering and Bugged Out, and Awakenings will apply the same production values and attention to detail to the Manchester show that the globally-acclaimed Awakenings Festival is famous for.
From huge events like Awakenings and Sankeys Warehouse in our main events space, to more intimate shows in The Bays or some of the breakout spaces in the Victoria Warehouse Hotel, we really are a one-stop destination for music in Manchester.
